The Girls in the Band

(2011)
A novel by

Taylor and the girls in her band haven't got a lot in common other than a love of rock. But when their world tour gets interrupted by arrests in a conservative Arab oil sheikdom they find themselves thrown together in a big way. Facing years of prison for breaking local drug and morality laws, they reluctantly agree to a one week stay in the harem of a local sheik. None are innocent when it comes to sex, after all, and they'd been promised no harm would come to them. Of course, a stern discipline is enforced, which is not quite what they had in mind, but it is only a week. Their real problem comes when their bodies begin to betray them in the face of the dark eroticism of open sexuality and total submission. As much as they are outraged by their treatment they begin to succumb to the passion and hunger. When they leave, they might well feel more passion for the bands around their throats than any other kind.
