Witch Way Do I Go?

(2022)
(A book in the Midlife Magic Paranormal series)
A novel by

Josey ColemanSingle female, forty-something corporate executive, loves cats.
That's been my online dating profile for the past year but to no avail. I guess I'm too much for guys in city. Oh hell, who am I kidding, I'm too much for myself sometimes too.

Between work and my totally lackluster dating life, I could really use a break and although it's not the best reason, I'm getting just that when I fly home to my tiny little hometown in North Carolina to handle my grandma's funeral, who I haven't seen in at least fifteen years.

On top of
not being able to get out of this since I'm the last living Coleman, I'm stuck in her old creepy house I haven't seen since I was a kid. It's just more icing on the darn muddy cake. So.Many.Things.To.Figure.Out.

Feeling like a fish out of water in this house and doused with old memories that are just confusing me, I decide to drown my sorrows in the massive amount of alcohol I found in this cabinet above the oven. Besides, it did come with this really neat cocktail recipe.

Who would've known grandma was such a drinker?

A little drop of this, a pinch of that, and a pour of some more here...and we've got the perfect concoction. The only thing is, it's making me feel a little woozier than I'm used to. Maybe this liquor is a tad too old to drink...

When I wake up in the morning my world is tipped upside down a thousand times over and I'm not quite sure how or what I'm even handling... might as well add witch to that online dating profile.

I find out my Aunt, who raised me, seems to be something a little..um…otherworldly, and not in a good way. My childhood best friend I reconnected with has…how do you say…a special insight…
My other best friend Bo has become hunkalicious…which is just weird…Oh yeah and apparently there’s this evil elf after me!

Who says your life is over at 40? Mine seems to have taken a new left turn.

***This is book 1 in the series and should be read in order. It ends in a bit of a cliffhanger
