(2025)
A novel by

Natalie's insular life consists of working from her mother's house, playing video games, and never leaving her room. One night a fellow gamer, thinking she is a man, reaches out to her to ask her for advice on how to pick up women. She plays along until he begins voice chat with her and she can hide her gender no longer.

Greg, a college drop-out whose life is nothing but eternal disappointment to his parents, is shocked to discover that his best buddy gamer-dude has been a girl the entire time. She demands to see him and so they turn on cameras briefly. Greg is shocked to see a pallid, unkept woman with matted hair, black hoodie, and dark circles under her bleary eyes sitting in a disheveled bedroom. She clicks the camera off in terror but her image sparks a strange curiosity in Greg as her gritty exterior stands out from the never-ending ocean of images of beautifully perfect women that he is barraged with on a daily basis.

Can Greg and Natalie overcome their own insecurities to discover that one doesn't have to be perfect to find love?

This romantic novella is about 37,000 words long.
